The Library Thing was a new experience for me. It was a little difficult for me to think of books or authors that I like but once I did it was pretty easy to use. It is great to see all of the different types of books that are similar to the ones that you like. I am going to have to look a little more closely at the website so I can see what other books are out there and where I can find them. Library Thing is a great website!

As a coach and trainer I use technology every day. I use a lot of video analysis technology to break down technique. I am able to slow down the movements and really look at all of the ins and outs of the technique. You can only see so much when the movement is full speed. Being able to slow down the movements and being able to look at certain parts over and over has helped my athletes out a lot because I can show them what they are doing correctly and what they are doing incorrectly. I can also show them how they should look and what they are doing wrong. From here we are able to form a plan of attack to correct the movement so they become more efficient.

Technology in the classroom and outside the classroom has made learning as well as teaching more interesting. I have seen at schools the smart boards, class Ipads as well as junior high students bringing their own laptop to class to take notes and learn. Technology is such as a podcast make learning a lot more in depth. Being able to go back to the lecture and see what you might have missed and be able to study from the podcast is a great tool for students. I know I have benefited from the podcasts in the previous classes in the masters program that I am in.

There are many things that I have learned while in this class. Some of the cooler things that have been fun to take part in is the photo editing. I think it is hard to have a trustworthy and easy to use website because of all of the horrible things that can happen by click a link or viruses that you can get. Another thing that I thought that was really neat to learn was to use and share on Flickr. Being able to share some of the memories that I have had over here while she has been gone is a great opportunity to reconnect with her and her family again. I know my sister, who lives far away, uses a lot of online websites such as ShutterFly to make books and cards for my parents and I to see how she and her family is doing. Being able to see how my baby niece is growing up feels as if I am there with her because of all of the pictures that we have of her.

Fresno Pacific University is where I met the people who are the most important to me.
Photo Sharing is a great idea for the people who are not worried about what is put online. I like the idea because I have a sister that lives across the county in Pennsylvania. Being able to see my baby niece on a daily basis is great! All the pictures that I have posted have been a big part of my life and have made me the man I am today. Fresno Pacific is where my life was able to transform and grow as a man. Track is where I have spent the last 18 years running. My beautiful girlfriend of three years sums up my life in a nutshell.

Higher Education
My understanding of Blogging before reading the article from Williams (2004) was some what accurate. There are many different types of blogs out there in the world, sports, fashion, education and many more. If you are able to pin down who has some good information to say and they are not just online venting to the world I think there will be a great appreciation for blogging. Williams stats that, "blogs have the potential, at least, to be a truly transformational technology in that they provide students with a high level of autonomy while simultaneously providing the opportunity for greater interaction with peers" (p. 247). Being able to increase knowledge through blogging is an increasing area and should be growing in the years to come.
